Behind the songs

A life lived.
A story still unfolding.

Bucks County, Pennsylvania singer-songwriter Matt Dorsey writes on guitar and piano, moving between blues, soul, and a melodic singer-songwriter sound.

His songs explore resilience, family, and the work of finding your way forward. At the center is a simple impulse: turn lived experience into something someone else can feel.

His recordings bring together collaborators in Brooklyn, Nashville, and Pennsylvania. Explore The Migration, Vol. 1, alongside live performances and the next chapter: Above the City Lights.
